A Message from Teresa Chambers I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the thousands of people who have reached out to me through this website. Your words of support through emails to me and messages you have left as you have signed the Petition provide me a tremendous amount of strength, tenacity, and courage. Thank you for continuing to tell others about this site as the one-stop-shop for accurate information and links to pertinent documents and news stories. Last week, a group of friends sent a greeting card with a poem that sums up my gratitude for all you are doing as you stand beside me during this ordeal. I hope you enjoy it: The Oak Tree A mighty windBlew night and day. It stole the oak tree’s leaves away, Then snapped its boughs And pulled its bark Until the oak was tired and stark. But still the oak tree held its ground While other trees fell all around. The weary wind gave up and spoke, “How can you still be standing, Oak?” The oak tree said, “I know that you Can break each branch of mine in two, Carry every leaf away, Shake my limbs, and make me sway. But I have roots stretched in the earth, Growing stronger since my birth. You’ll never touch them, for you see, They are the deepest part of me. Until today, I wasn’t sure. Of just how much I could endure. But now I’ve found, with thanks to you, I’m stronger than I ever knew. Thanks to each of you for the roots you have given me and for the new roots that are taking hold every day. With you alongside me, I will continue to stay strong and, like the oak tree, resilient.
